The Multicultural Arts Officer's role is to support artists, arts organisations and community groups from multicultural backgrounds to engage in activities that produce high quality, diverse and visible art.
The ACT Multicultural Arts officer, Jorge Bagnini - actor, theatre director and playwright - born in Argentina, has been the artistic director of Latin America Alive for many years since he arrived in Canberra. As well as professional projects, Jorge has created and managed many arts projects within the community - including theatre, dance, music and poetry - that reflect the cultural diversity of Australia.
