ACT Indigenous Arts Officer
The role of the ACT Indigenous Arts Officer is to support and advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, arts organisations and cultural issues in Canberra.
The Indigenous Arts Officer can assist in a range of ways including:
- Advocacy for inclusion and diversity in the arts
- Mentoring of individuals and groups
- Assistance developing projects and seeking funding
- Assistance with the preparation of funding applications and the auspicing of grants
- Advice and information about arts and cultural issues
- Facilitation of partnerships and networks that create opportunities for art activities
- Promotion of arts activities and opportunities.
