The ArtsAbility Officer is a first point of call for anyone needing information and/or support to access the arts opportunities that are available in Canberra.
The ArtsAbility Officer can help artists with disability and/or disadvantage as well as organizations, businesses and services, to:
ACT ArtsAbility Officer Caro Roach has a wealth of arts and community cultural development experience working in both the government and the NGO sector, across regional areas in New South Wales and Victoria. She has a passion for arts practice in all its forms and a commitment to seeing that art is accessible to all.
Caro brings to the position a strong history of using art-based projects to engage communities and individuals to deliver meaningful cultural and social outcomes. Caro uses her experience as a visual artist to actively support the creative pursuits of artists with disability and disadvantage. Working from a diverse arts facilitation background Caro can offer networking and referral services as well as assistance with project concepts, planning, development and marketing, partnerships, funding proposals, skills development, knowing your rights and advocacy.
